Crunchy Granola Raisin Brioche French Toast

This is a dish I started making to keep up with the crunchy french toast craze. Sorry but using Captain Crunch is not in my kitchen. I chose a delicious pumpkin spice granola. This dish I will serve during the Jewish New Year.

Ingredients

French Toast

  • 1 loaf raisin challah or brioche
  • 8 eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 TBSP pure vanilla extract
  • 3 cups granola
  • 4-6 TBSP unsalted butter
  • 8 eggs beaten
  • Cinnamon
  • Pumpkin butter
  • Garnish– pure maple syrup

Apple topping:

  • 8 honey crisp apples
  • 2 TBSP butter
  • Autumn spice.  ( cinnamon, apple pie spice, all spice)
  • 2TBSP sugar

Directions

  2. French toast: Beat eggs with milk, sugar, pure vanilla. And cinnamon.
  3. In a large griddle-pan melt 2 TBSP butter, Dip bread into egg batter and then into granola.
  4. Place in medium high pan with the melted butter. Cook to golden brown on both sides.
