Lunch with Chef Judi: Blú Island Bistro

Just blocks from the beach on S. Tamiami Trail in Venice, this shabby chic beachy theme is quite unique.

A Culinary Institute of America graduate, Chef Alan plays with his menu, like offerings such as Philly pork rolls and chicken parmesan burgers.  Friday and Saturday nights, dinner is served — and expect the unexpected, like elk and ostrich with white truffle oil.  Chef Alan’s mom makes the homemade desserts.
